What it really meant.

I do not want to fight (I do not want to know why you are upset)
I just want to be happy (if I can avoid it, maybe it will all go away)

I didn't do anything wrong (or want to know what I did that might be unintentional)
or see anything wrong in what i did (whether or not it might have hurt you)

No one can spoil my day (you are no one to me)
I choose to be happy (even though i know you are hurting)

if you are angry we cannot speak (I don't want to know why you are actually angry)
I am done being angry (you are not worth fighting for)
and fighting over nothing (regardless of whether it meant anything to you)

Learn to Swim with Coach Lynn & Coach Elson!

Hello everyone!

It's been awhile since my last post. Been really busy preparing for the new year and new season ahead for me. It has been a really good last 3 months catching up with my friends, meeting for coffee and cakes because I hadn't had the time to do any of these hanging out for the whole of 2012.

Well, the new year is here and I am glad to announce the launch of my Swim School! (Finally, ikr!)

Little Fins Swim School was founded by Ms Lynn Chng in 2012. We offer swimming lessons for all ages and standards but we specialise in coaching children ages 3 to 12 in private pools such as condominiums and clubs. . The syllabus taught is internationally recognised and aims to develop a child's swimming proficiency and survival skills by instilling confidence. We aim to promote swimming as a life skill throughout Singapore by assisting in the development of children through sports. We also seek to inculcate in them a spirit of discipline, determination and courage while having fun. Water sports and swimming are both important and exciting activities! However, in order to enjoy the water, we have to know how to survive in the water.

Join us today!

Contact Coach Lynn for more information:

It has been a really exciting journey working towards this, all the hardwork was worth every bit. I am so blessed to have supportive friends and family by my side throughout! Thank you with all my heart and soul!

If you are interested in getting your INFANTS into the pool or looking for a male coach, my dear friend & colleague Coach Elson will be more than happy to hear from you as well! Classes for children and adults are also available in private pools such as condominiums and clubs.

To contact Coach Elson, you may also email to swimlittlefins@gmail.com and we will redirect you.

Please do spread the news and let your friends and family know about us!
Thank you!

Friends and friendships

After living this long, did you ever wonder if the choices you make in these 22 years are all meant to be made for you to become the person you are today?

Is the person you are today a happy one? The person who you are meant to be, the person you are? Or not.

At this point I realise nothing define you but yourself and the choices you make. Particularly your choice of friends.

100 people can say "I love you" but do they really? Probably. Or not. Think about the times you need to pick up your phone to ring someone up. Who will it be? And if he/she doesn't pick up, who will be the 2nd or 3rd person you'd call?

We'd all like to believe the "I love yous" we receive. But what if it's actually, "I'd love for you to..."? Things will starts to change. And you know is not a good change.

I'd love to start caring and loving again, even though I know sometimes is the most unrewarding and the hardest thing to do.

Because I want my "I love you" to be real.
Only to those who are worth it.

Brunch @ The Coastal Settlement & SMU Voix Concert

Last Sunday, my parents brought John & I to this unique restaurant named: The Coastal Settlement. It is filled with antiques from way back in the days. The location was a little hard to get to without a vehicle but it was special enough to draw a full house in. I've never seen a place quite like this.

If only you could see John's reaction when he found out my dad use to own one last time.

Sewing Project: Custom Pouch for Dialysis (CCPD/CAPD) Patients

Day 1
Last week was training week for Ah ma, Niely, Da Gou (my Aunt) and I at SGH. My grandma has kidney failure and after 3 years of dialysis and its different complications, we finally get to surgically change the dialysis method to CAPD as known as Water Dialysis to most people. Eventhough I didn't manage to go for all 5 days of training, it was enjoyable while it lasted. Other patients and their familes were also there to learn. I had so much fun and laughter even when the nurse was nagging alot. :) hehe.

Day 1 - Waiting for training to begin
Day 3 - Time for Lunch!
The tube from the body which connects the Ultra Bags is usually stored/kept with tape and cotton pads. There is also another way of keeping the tubes, which is in custom made waist pouches as shown below.
Top: The Nurse's sample
Bottom: My piece for Ah Ma.
After making one for my grandma, I had orders coming in from the other patients that where there. It was quite an experience doing the pouch for them. I have a sense of satisfaction, like I've done something good. :)

Midnight sewing :)
Orders from patients I met at the training center.
Some like their velcro at the front as seen on the top most pouch

To insert tubings and hold Transfer Set
Velcro for maximum comfort even throughout the night
Below is an image of how the tubings look like.

I am just really happy that I am involve in this whole process of dialysis for my Ah Ma. I always wonder how else can I show my love and affection to her especially since I am a very socially awkward person, expressing my love and care is generally very awkward and difficult for me. Yay me, now I am responsible when Niely isn't around :) I am not complaining. Anything for Grams <3

If you need a pouch, contact me for more details! :)
